The Master Digital VFX Production is the 3D, Visual Effects and Compositing track in collaboration with 22Dogs

The Master of Digital VFX Production is a comprehensive course aimed at fans of Films, TV Series and Commercials that integrate 3D and Special Effects. The VFX course is in collaboration with 22Dogs, a leading company in Italy in the Special Effects industry. The goal of the course is to train artists ready for the working world, make students understand image processing and alteration both static and animated, working at an integrated level both with elements shot from life and in 3D and 2D Computer Graphics.

Minimum PC Requirements: Microsoft® Windows® 10 -- Processor: Intel Core i7 12th Gen or AMD Ryzen equivalent
Ram at least 32GB -- Minimum Video Card: Nvidia RTX 3050/3060 or higher
HDD/SSD: 1 TB
MAC is not recommended.

 

Prerequisites

High school diploma
Basic computer skills and excellent command of PC use. Basic knowledge of Photoshop (interface, masks and layers).

Production Workflow

It starts with the basics to understand the process and the rules that guide it

Introduction to Maya

Using the international market-leading software Autodesk Maya, the first props begin to be produced

Modeling

During the development of the polygonal model, we will focus on topology, mesh optimization and artistic rendering

Rigging

Creation of a system of controls useful for the operation and movement of the asset present in the scene

Animation

Starting from the basic principles we work on the chambers and animation applied to the model

Lighting and Rendering

Realistic visual rendering is the main focus of this module, relying on Arnold processing high-resolution images for post production

Compositing

Working module on Nuke, starting with the basics of Digital Compositing

Advanced Compositing

More advanced processing to better understand Compositing

Additional Tools and Plugins

New tools and increasingly high-performance plug-ins come alongside the artist to simulate and speed up productive work

Advanced Workshops

Module dedicated to in-depth study of software such as Zbrush, programming basics in Python and Motion Capture workshops
